EZ Snap Fasteners
EZ-SNAP™ fasteners are a one of a kind, innovative product and are available at the online store at www.EZSNAPDIRECT.com . This amazing fastener system allows the average homeowner to install exterior shade screen on their home or RV, without specialized tools and with professional looking results. Once the female caps are pressed onto the pins, they hold tight and do not come off in even the strongest winds. But, should you have to move or reposition the mesh, the EZ Snap caps can be removed using a special release lever built into the cap.

NOTE: We recommend that fasteners are placed approximatley 12" apart, to a maximum of 15" apart.
3M™ Adhesive Studs These "peel and stick" studs are used when you don't want to drill into your window frames or R.V. The 3M™ VHB adhesive will stick to most clean and flat surfaces,(except wood). Click Here for video on 3M VHB adhesive .
They should be installed in warmer temperatures, preferably at least +15c/60F, but better yet is 21c/70F or warmer.

The chart to the right shows the approximate bonding time at room temperature. As you can see, time and temperature will significantly increase the bond strength of these type of studs. It is for this reason that we suggest that you place all of your adhesive studs first, allowing them more time to bond before you snap your product to them. Putting them on 24 hours before you install your shades is ideal.
Important: * Bond strength is dependent upon the amount of
adhesive-to-surface contact developed. Firm application pressure
develops better adhesive contact and helps improve bond strength. Clean surface first with isopropyl alcohol to remove any film, dirt or oxidization. After 3M studs have been installed, wait a minimum of 60 minutes before you install the shading mesh, 24 hours is ideal.
Removal Tool for EZ Snap Fasteners The removal tool seen on the right comes FREE in every kit sold through the EZ Snap online store. This tool is used to remove your shades if you want to store them for the winter. How to use: Simply slide the prongs between the stud and the base of the pin. Pry the pin away from the stud until the pin unsnaps from the stud. The pin and cap stay locked together in the fabric, ready to be snapped back onto the stud again in the spring. Many of our customers leave there EZ Snap shades up all year round as there is no need to remove them for winter, unless you want the heat from the sun to help warm your home.
